Which data are we processing and for what purpose?
Categories of personal data being processed are your personal
information, posts, likes/favorites and photos from social networks
Facebook.com and Twitter.com.thecamp SAS is processing your personal
data for an art installation with the purpose of teaching you about your
digital footprint. The processing of personal data is intended for
anyone interested in art and learning about their digital footprint.
What is the legal basis for processing your data?
Your personal data is being processed based on your consent, in
accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of the European Union General Data
Protection Regulation (GDPR), as well as the applicable French national
data protection law (Law n° 78-17, last amended by Law n° 2018-493).
Who else has access to your data?
We use IBM Watson to generate predictions from your data. These
services will therefore receive anonymised textual data from your posts
and/or tweets and use them in accordance with their terms and
conditions: Watson terms.
We will also send your textual data to Google Translate for translation
if necessary, for the purpose of providing you with a localised user
experience.
How do we protect your personal data?
thecamp SAS has put in place organisational and technical measures to
protect your personal data: access restriction to only authorised
persons, contracts with data processors in accordance with GDPR. An
authentication-requiring encrypted (SSL) connection will be used to
secure the data sent to the third party APIs.
Where do we keep your data?
Your data will be stored on a Digital Ocean (digitalocean.com) server, which is located in Frankfurt, Germany.
How long do we keep your data?
After you provide us with your data, we analyse it and then delete
your raw data. The analysis is presented to you in the experience,
showing you your digital profile and personal characteristics. Once the
experience is finished, we delete the analysis as well. All of your data
will be permanently deleted by the end of the experience.
Personal data transfers to countries (“third countries”) or international organisations outside the EU
Your personal data will not be transferred to third countries.
What are your rights in regards to your personal data?
In regards to your personal data, you have the right to access, data
portability, rectification/restriction of processing and erasure. You
